Mitchell Voss
Founder and CEO
Mr. Voss, Founder and CEO of Windmass, is responsible for the overall management, operations, and strategy of the firm. Mr. Voss is involved in all aspects of the Firm’s investment activities and provides leadership related to the Firm’s investment activities in the commercial real estate sector. He has accumulated over 14 years of experience in commercial real estate across; investment banking, structured finance, asset management, and acquisitions, which led to Mr. Voss launching his own Real Estate Private Equity Firm. Prior to WindMass, Mitchell was a Vice President in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Group, where he focused on origination CMBS, balance sheets, and bridge loans.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Voss held positions at UBS Realty, as an acquisitions and asset management associate performing both development and acquisitions along with asset management on multifamily, industrial, office and retail; Deutsche Bank’s Real Estate Structured Finance Group; Centerline Capital with a focus on multi-family lending and due diligence; and at Lake Pacific Partners in the private equity group focused on consumer products.
Mr. Voss received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Denver and a Certificate of Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business.
Jason Reed
Partner
Mr. Reed is a Partner with Wingate Partners, a private equity group based in Dallas that acquires controlling interest in middle market companies. During his 25-year career at Wingate, Mr. Reed has been involved with three private equity funds that have performed in the top quartile of their peers and has been a Partner in funds totaling over $500 million in commitments. He has served on the board of 12 companies and served as Co-Chairman of Western Marketing. He led the financing for six platform acquisitions. Prior to Wingate, Mr. Reed was a Case Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, an international management consulting firm. Over the course of his six-year career in consulting, he worked on numerous projects in the areas of corporate strategy and operational improvement. He is also a general partner in all of WindMass’ investment vehicles since late 2019. Jason holds a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University’s SC Johnson School of Business, a BS in Economics and Finance from Oklahoma State University, an MS in Finance from London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Reed currently serves on the boards of Binswanger Glass, The HC Companies, and Dallas Hope Charities.
Steven Partridge
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Partridge is currently the CFO for WindMass Capital, having joined in November 2023. He has over 30 years of commercial real estate industry experience. As the CFO, he is responsible for the oversight of third-party management company financial reporting as well as their processing of all accounting transactions, including the rent collections, debt service payments and all other payables for each property. He also is the primary contact with third-party tax and audit companies. Maintaining corporate books for the parent company is his responsibility. Evaluation of capital needs for each investment property and the preparation of capital calls falls into his purview. He also is the primary contact for all banking relationships. Additionally, he provides strategic counsel to the owner.
Prior to WindMass, he was the CFO for Alpine Start Development LLC (fka Eitches Management Group). As the CFO, he was primarily responsible for the preparation of financial statements for all investment properties and entities, interaction with the tax preparers, coordination of all banking activities, and corporate reporting. He also prepared any capital call analysis and distributions for investors. He reviewed and helped negotiate legal documents and provided strategic counseling to owners.
Prior to ASD, for 3 ½ years he was the CFO for International Capital LLC, a small boutique real estate investment company that catered primarily to German and other international investors who wanted to invest in US real estate. Prior to International Capital, for 2 years he was the CFO of Tricom Real Estate Group, a private startup organization that acquired distressed retail properties. Prior to that role, he was the CFO for Coyote Management LP for over 13 years. Coyote was a start up operation that sourced real estate deals, raised capital to purchase the deals, managed and leased the properties, then provided an exit strategy for investors. Coyote’s investments were strictly retail properties, primarily enclosed regional malls. As CFO, he hired and trained an accounting staff, directed on-site property managers regarding capital projects, budgeting, forecasting and property operations. He was also the point person with lenders and financial partners and provided direction for all banking & cash management decisions, real estate tax appeals, and legal needs.
For over 8 years prior to Coyote, he was the Vice President of Asset Management for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Inc. (fka Equitable Real Estate Investment Management) and 5 years prior as the Director of Accounting / Finance. As an asset manager, he managed a portfolio of over $650M in aggregate of commercial real estate assets across retail, office, hotels, multi-family and industrial sectors, with a specialty in the retail sector for the last 4 years. In this position, he was responsible for negotiations and approval of leases, annual capital expenditures, investment risk analysis, development of long-term strategies to enhance the value of assets, annual budgeting, and presentations to clients. In his position as Director of Accounting / Finance, he was responsible for the preparation of financial statements for over 100 equity investments for all property types.
As a member of the Board of Directors for TIER REIT Inc. (formerly a NYSE listed company) for over 13 years (2003-2016), he provided independent oversight for a $2B portfolio of office building investments across the country. He was chairman of the audit committee, member of both the nominating & compensation committees, as well as on the special committee formed to oversee the internalization of the company from the sponsor organization.
He started his career at Arthur Andersen & Company where he was in the audit department for 2 ½ years. He graduated with a Bachelor (Cum Laude) and Master Degree from the University of Mississippi. He is a CPA in the state of Texas, as well as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA).
Chad Paxton
Managing Director of Construction
Mr. Paxton is currently the Head of Construction for WindMass Capital. He joins our team with over 30 years of construction experience, with 23 years specializing in multifamily renovations, focused on repositioning private equity assets. He has a proven track record executing multiple large-scale multifamily reposition projects throughout the country. Mr. Paxton will be handling all of our large-scale construction project contracts while assisting our asset management team with annual capital expenditure needs for their portfolios.
Royce McGarry
Vice President of Asset Management
Mr. McGarry joined WindMass Capital in April of 2024. He handles various Asset Management, Capital Markets and Transaction matters for the WindMass portfolio. Prior to WindMass, he spent three years as a Transaction & Asset Manager for LURIN Advisors. Before LURIN, he was an Associate at The Blackstone Group on the private equity team for five years, and prior to that, he was an Auditor at Deloitte assigned to the Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. private equity funds audit. Royce holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers University.
Amanda Horn
Director of Design
Mrs. Horn joined WindMass Capital in 2024 as the Director of Design. Her primary focus is managing the overall interior and exterior design and aesthetics of each asset, including marketing and project management. Prior to WindMass, her 10+ years of design experience range from luxury residential to hospitality as well as a focus in multifamily renovations. She has designed, managed and executed projects nationwide.
Jack Bessette
Acquisitions
Mr. Bessette is a Vice President at WindMass Capital. His primary focus includes deal sourcing, underwriting, raising debt and equity capital, and acquisition of multi-family assets across the state of Texas as well as managing all efforts related to dispositions. Mr. Bessette has worked at WindMass since 2019 when WindMass owned 500 units, has been promoted to VP, and now heads the acquisition team. Prior to WindMass, Mr. Bessette worked at Presidium Group on their Acquisitions and Development team and focused on value-add multifamily acquisitions in Dallas and Fort Worth. Mr. Bessette holds a BBA in Finance and a BA in History from Southern Methodist University.
David Lawson
Capital Markets
As the Managing Director of Equity Capital Markets for WindMass Capital, David is responsible for establishing and building relationships with institutional investors and interfacing with the leading investment consulting / delegated managers of institutional capital. He and Mitchell Voss first became acquainted in 2013 when they were both based in UBS Realty’s Dallas office. David Joined WindMass in September of 2023 following his departure from UBS.
At UBS Realty Mr. Lawson held a number of positions, initially focusing on property acquisitions and strategic partnerships for the firm. He later became a member of the Portfolio and Client Services group for the US Real Estate business where he managed investor relations and new business development for the Mid-Continent region.
Before joining UBS, he spent 10 years with Archon Group, a real estate investment/asset management subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. He earlier held several management positions with Cadillac Fairview/Prentiss Properties in the Washington, D.C. area, Dallas and Houston. David directed the overall development of several landmark office buildings while there.
David has extensive experience in a variety of real estate investment disciplines including underwriting, acquisitions, dispositions, development, asset management, financial analysis, modeling and property valuation.
Walker Franz
Asset Manager
Mr. Franz is an Asset Manager with WindMass Capital, joining the firm in 2024. His primary focus includes managing North Texas properties, spanning from the Dallas metroplex to Stephenville. Prior to joining WindMass, he began his career at KPMG in the audit sector, handling private equity and real estate funds. His expertise expanded as he transitioned to multifamily asset and transaction management, overseeing operations across the Florida region. Mr. Franz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
Brian Liekhus

Mr. Liekhus is an Associate with WindMass Capital. He began working for the firm in June 2020 as an intern before joining the team full time as an analyst in June 2021, shortly after his graduation from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Liekhus holds a BBA in Finance with a Concentration in Real Estate Finance and a minor in history from Southern Methodist University where he graduated in the spring of 2021. He primarily focuses on sourcing, underwriting, and acquiring multifamily properties across the state of Texas and assists in all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions.

Mr. Winniford is an Analyst with WindMass Capital. He joined the team in June 2024 upon completing his BBA in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University in the spring of 2024. He primarily focuses on sourcing, underwriting, and acquiring multifamily properties across the state of Texas and assists in all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions.

Adrian Gonzalez joined WindMass Capital in 2023, bringing a strong foundation in business and finance. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from Stephen F. Austin State University. Prior to his role at WindMass, Adrian gained valuable experience at Bank of America, where he honed his expertise in financial operations and client relations.
Christiana Kelley
Investor Relations
Christiana Kelley joined WindMass Capital in 2022 as an Investor Relations Associate. Christiana graduated from Southern Methodist University. Prior to WindMass, she spent five years as a Private Wealth Associate at Merrill Lynch Private Bank and holds her series 7 and 66 licenses. Christiana works closely with Acquisitions and Asset Management.

Office Manager
Sarah Saadeh, joined WindMass Capital in May 2022. Prior to WindMass Capital Sarah co-lead the Closing department at Leon Capital Group and was in charge of all dispositions. Prior to Leon Capital Group, Sarah was part of the Goldman Sachs Real Estate Investment Banking Closing department.
